JHFOSTER Inspires the Next Generation of Robotics Engineers

Eagan, Minnesota, April 11, 2024 – JHFOSTER is proud to announce its ongoing support of Electrobotics, a Minnesota-based high school robotics team. Electrobotics placed second in their recent competitions among other high school teams from across Minnesota.

After hosting students at our facility in 2023, JHFOSTER wanted to offer financial support and technology donations as the students worked to design, build, and program a robot to compete against teams on multiple tasks.

“The partnership we have with the Electrobotics team gives these students access to high quality engineering opportunities to develop a strong, robust pipeline of talent interested in future STEM careers,” stated Clark Oster, Senior VP of Compressed Air at JHFOSTER. “In addition to offering financial support, we’re also partnering with the team to provide hands on opportunities at our facilities to learn more about the most recent advancements in robotics technology. We’re excited to be a small part of their success and look forward to seeing how they continue to grow.”

“None of this would happen without JHFOSTER’s engagement and support,” said Scott Harvey, coach of Electrorobotics. “We’re already looking forward to how we can continue to partner with JHFOSTER for our upcoming challenges.”

Electrobotics started in 2019, originally as Starbots. In addition to that, some members were also on a previous team named Boonk Bots. Members of both teams combined to form a team of six named Electrobotics, which achieved second place in their inaugural tournament, followed by winning the alliance in the second tournament.
