Employees Give Back During BBQ
Since July 1, employees at John Henry Foster have been collecting food for the The Open Door Pantry in Eagan.
On July 22, JHF invited employees to donate one food item and in turn they could enjoy a delicious BBQ lunch. Employees responded and more than 215 pounds of food were donated. John and Jan Hawkins, CEO and President/COO, wrote a check for $1000. Every $1 donated enables The Open Door to provide up to $10 of healthy, wholesome foods!
Most of the folks using the food shelf are working poor trying to balance multiple jobs and children and trying to figure out what’s more important: their house payment or putting food on the table.
John Henry Foster employees look forward to the next opportunity to give back to the community.
