Employees were able to break on Wednesday, June 4 for a delicious BBQ sponsored by John Henry Foster (JHF) —a way to say thanks for all the support employees have given the community this past year. JHF also invited Highland Friendship Club (HFC) to enjoy the BBQ and to also sell their beautiful cards—all handmade and packaged by members with disabilities. HFC is a nonprofit in St. Paul serving teens and young adults with disabilities. Employees were encouraged to buy a pack of cards for $5.00 and JHF chipped in another $5.00 for a second set (12 cards for $5.00!). Over 125 cards were sold during the BBQ and JHF donated $750 to HFC. 100% of the proceeds support HFC where members gain friendships, build skills, and develop connections to their community. JHF is extremely passionate about making a difference in our community, changing lives and enjoyed giving back again!
