Account Manager

General Purpose of the Job:

The Account Manager will be able to appropriately identify the customer’s needs and help them succeed in using our products.  They should be highly self-motivated with the ability to multi-task and work well under pressure and deadlines to build and maintain customer expectations both internally and externally.  The Account Manager should have a solid understanding of our product line with the ability to proactively promote and sell the John Henry Foster “value-add” proposition to acquire business in competitive situations.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for managing key accounts; develop and maintain a sales forecast to help analyze market conditions and/or changes in assigned territory for maximum productivity and sales growth.
  • Strong understanding of the competition and the ability to win business while still maintaining profit margins.
  • Gain a deep understanding of the customer’s business and partner in their ongoing success.
  • Use initiative and strategy to increase sales/profits by account and overall market share.
  • Follow-up on all generated quotes to assure that the customer is being serviced and to document the outcome of the proposed solution.
  • Stay current on existing and emerging products, industry trends and technologies.
  • Maintains ethical, cooperative manufacturer relationships consistent with company image and company goals in the marketplace.
  • Executes sales efforts in an ethical and professional manner, assuring a favorable impression of yourself and the company.
  • Contribute to internal and external marketing communication.
  • Ability to look for ways to improve and promote quality.
  • Recognize customer concerns; addressing proactively.

Qualifications

  • 2-year degree in Automation or at least 2 years of air compressor related experience required.
  • 3+ years of successful account management/sales experience preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills required.
  • Good organizational ability and detail orientated.
  • Good problem solving skills with the ability to evaluate options and implement solutions.
  • High degree of mechanical aptitude.
  • Willingness and ability to travel.
  • Good driving record required.

Sales Support Specialist – Air Compressor

General Purpose of the Job:

John Henry Foster is hiring for a Sales Support Specialist position in the Capital Equipment Support department to provide inside and outside sales support within the compressed air, vacuum, and fluid cooling industries.  This position will handle inquiries from customers and outside sales representatives relating to orders, lead times, and equipment specifications.

Essential Duties, Responsibilities and Qualifications

  • Complete quotes to support the sales efforts and ensuring they are accurate
  • Maintain and manage customer information in the CRM system
  • Ensure entry of orders are accurate and timely
  • Act as a liaison between sales and the rest of the organization
  • Maintain awareness and knowledge of the market
  • Responsible for checking product availability with supplies
  • HS diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, CRM, and Order Processing Software)
  • Previous experience within the industry is a plus

Installation & Piping Specialist

General Purpose of the Job:

Work on-site at customer locations to install compressed air and coolant piping. Mechanical background is helpful but will train as needed; able to diagnose and solve problems on a variety of piping systems.  Excellent communication and organizational skills with the ability to work closely with customers to resolve issues in a timely manner; increasing overall customer satisfaction.

Automation Specialist

General Purpose of the Job:

John Henry Foster (Eagan, Minnesota) is hiring an Automation Specialist. This position will have an emphasis on creating and developing on-going business relationships with our customers. Additionally, this position will focus on providing excellent customer service including; technical support, pricing, processing customer orders via phone, fax and email, expediting customer orders, follow-up on leads, crossing over product to increase automation business, as well as assisting our Account Managers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a contact for JHF product and pricing information
  • Work with list of target accounts along with other customer inquiries; supporting on-going communications and sales
  • Focus on increased “add-on” business with customers calling in; increasing revenue per call/per customer
  • Knowledgeable on all JHF products, parts and services including strong technical background on all automation product offerings
  • Good understanding of competition and offerings
  • Ability to successfully sell the JHF “value-add” proposition and cross over product on an as-needed basis
  • Build and maintain excellent customer relations (internal and external)
  • Recognize customer concerns; addressing proactively
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor or management

Qualifications, Skills and Education:

  • Two-year degree in Automation/Fluid Power/Mechatronics
  • Professionally trained in automation systems
  • Knowledge of Infor Enterprise Software a plus
  • Team player, but also must be able to work independently
  • Excellent communication and customer relations/service skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure or deadlines to meet customer expectations
