Industrial Control Panel Builder

General Purpose of the Job:
John Henry Foster (Eagan, MN) is hiring an Industrial Control Panel Builder for its Eagan location. This position will work closely with our Automation Department to interface electrical systems with pneumatic circuits for small machinery.  This position requires a highly self-motivated individual with the ability to multi-task and work well under pressure to build and maintain customer expectations both internal and external.  Ability to work as a team to independently to accomplish department goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Layout and install electrical components in control panel enclosures and wire them to the schematics provided.
  • Measure, layout and use hand and power tools to cut control panel enclosure holes to mount devices
  • Label all wire circuits per electrical schematics
  • Perform tasks with safe and proper use of hand and power tools
  • Maintain a safe, clean and well organized work environment
  • Ability to look for ways to improve and promote quality
  • Good organizational ability and detail orientated

Qualifications, Skills and Education:

  • High degree of mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to read electrical schematics a plus
  • Any type of wiring experience a plus
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects to meet production schedule/project requirements
  • Good problem solving skills with the ability to evaluate options and implement solutions

Parts Coordinator 

General Purpose of the Job:

Process part orders, provide pricing, inventory, order fulfillment and handle customer inquiries. The Parts Coordinator will create and develop on-going business relationships with customers via phone. This professional will also provide excellent customer service including phone sales and pricing, processing customer orders via phone, fax and email, expediting customer orders, follow-up on sales leads, crossing over product to increase product sales, and assist outside sales team with parts information. Strong attention to detail and coordinating skills vital as this position establishes quality assurance for the Capital Parts Department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Serve as key contact for Company product and pricing information
  • Process customer orders and expedite deliveries
  • Quote parts requests for the Service Department
  • Coordinate Service Contracts – enter data, billing and reporting
  • Coordinate transfers, returns, credits and receiving of capital parts
  • Facilitate entering, pulling and shipping orders – includes “piping”
  • Assist with truck shipments, inbound and outbound
  • Enter blanket releases and billing for rental units
  • Expedite parts for Service orders and contacting Vendors for delivery dates
  • Assist Parts Manager in handling of all JHF customer inquiries; supporting on-going communications and sales. Runs reports on as needed basis
  • Focus on increased “add-on” business with customer calls; increasing revenue per call/per customer
  • Knowledgeable on all Company products, parts and services including strong technical background on all capital part product offerings
  • Maintain inventory
  • Good understanding of competition and offerings
  • Ability to successfully sell the JHF “value-added” proposition and crossing over product on an as needed basis
  • Build and maintain excellent customer relations (internal and external)
  • Ability to look for ways to improve and promote quality
  • Recognize customer concerns; addressing proactively
  • Maintain vendor/factory processing updates when needed
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor or management

Qualifications, Skills and Education:

  • Excellent communication and customer relations/service skills
  • Knowledge on capital and/or equipment parts; computer experience with parts a plus
  • Mechanically oriented/technical background preferred
  • Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure or deadlines to meet customer expectations in fast-paced environment
  • Self starter, enthusiastic, high energy individual
  • Ability to demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness
  • 1-2 year experience in technical phone sales – preferably working with parts

General Purpose of the Job:

John Henry Foster (Eagan, Minnesota) is hiring an Automation Specialist/Inside Sales Specialist. This position will have an emphasis on creating and developing on-going business relationships with customers via phone. Additionally, this position will focus on providing excellent customer service including; technical support, phone sales and pricing, processing customer orders via phone, fax and email, expediting customer orders, follow-up on sales leads, and crossing over product to increase automation sales. Assisting our outside sales team on an as-needed basis may also be assigned.

  • Work with list of target accounts along with other customer inquiries; supporting on-going communications and sales
  • Focus on increased “add-on” business with customers calling in; increasing revenue per call/per customer
  • Knowledgeable on all JHF products, parts and services including strong technical background on all fluid power product offerings
  • Good understanding of competition and offerings
  • Ability to successfully sell the JHF “value-add” proposition and cross over product on an as-needed basis
  • Build and maintain excellent customer relations (internal and external)
  • Recognize customer concerns; addressing proactively
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor or management

Qualifications, Skills and Education:

  • Two year degree in fluid power
  • Professionally trained in fluid power systems
  • Knowledge of Infor Enterprise Software a plus
  • Team player, but also must be able to work independently
  • Excellent communication and customer relations/service skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure or deadlines to meet customer expectations
